The details

When do I start getting paid?: Once the business you referred becomes a paying customer. They get 30 days free first, so nothing happens during the trial.
How long does it last?: 12 months per business, starting the month they become a paying customer — $600 in total. If they cancel sooner, payments for that business stop there. Nothing else changes.
How do I get paid?: Monthly, starting once your first referral becomes a customer. We sort the details out with you then — nothing to set up now.
Is there a limit?: No cap on how many you refer. One business or twenty — each one is worth up to $600.
Do I have to sell anything?: No. Send the link. The business tries it themselves and decides. There is nothing to pitch and nothing to explain.
Can I refer my own business?: No — the referral has to be a business that is new to BrinkOps and that you do not own part of.
Does it work outside Canada?: Not yet. BrinkOps gives every business a Canadian texting number, so it only suits businesses operating in Canada. Referring a business outside Canada won't earn anything — worth knowing before you send it to anyone.

Program terms

Plain English, because you should know exactly what you're agreeing to before you send anyone a link.

1.What counts. A business new to BrinkOps that signs up through your link and becomes a paying customer. You can't refer yourself, a business you own part of, or one already using or trialling BrinkOps. If two people refer the same business, the first one recorded at signup gets it.
2.When you get paid. $50 for each full month that business pays for BrinkOps, for up to 12 months — a maximum of $600 per business. Nothing is earned during their free trial. Payments are made monthly.
3.When it stops. When the business stops paying, or after 12 months, whichever comes first. If they later come back, that doesn't restart the clock.
4.You're not an employee. Referral payments aren't wages, and taking part doesn't make you an employee, agent or partner of BrinkOps. You're responsible for your own taxes on anything you earn, and we may need your details to report payments.
5.Don't misrepresent us. Share it honestly — no spam, no promising things the product doesn't do, no bidding on our name in paid ads, no fake signups. We can withhold payment for referrals obtained that way, and end your participation.
6.We can change or end the program. With reasonable notice, and we'll honour anything already earned on referrals made before the change. If you signed up under earlier terms, those still apply to referrals you made then.
